APRICOT KERNEL OIL – contains vitamin E to help protect your skin against damage from free radicals. the emollient properties can help to exfoliate and moisturise the skin, retain moisture and eliminating patches of dry skin. relieves inflammatory conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.

QUANDONG – High in magnesium, vitamin C and folate. Another key quality of this super extract is that it has a presence of Rutin which is used to reduce redness and pigments like dark circles under the eye. Also known as ‘Native Peach’, Quandong is the Outback’s most famous fruit & can be found in Australia’s arid regions. High in proteins and essential fatty acids, it works to rejuvenate and soothe the skin, as well as boost complexion and brighten skin tone.

KAKADU PLUM – The Kakadu plum is a fruit native to Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. with High levels of Vitamin C to improve skin quality, deeply soothing, Rich in antioxidants, is antifungal and antibacterial. Kakadu Plum has the highest concentration of Vitamin C than any other fruit in the world!! Kakadu Plum’s are an excellent source of gallic and ellagic acid which are believed to repair damaged skin and reduce collagen breakdown.

ESSENTIAL OILS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS

LEMON MYRTLE (Backhousia citriodora) – is cheerful, fresh and revitalising, rather evocative of its native Australia. Lemon Myrtle is rich in antioxidants and has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. This is why it is the perfect essential oil, gentle and rejuvenating for our skin!

NEROLINA (Melaleuca quinquenervia) – is considered a gentle oil used for sensitive skin and another native to Australia, Nerolina is earthy, fruity and has subtle floral scent, enables your body’s natural skin responses to remain calm and balanced, reduces redness, irritation and over stimulation. Nerolina has traditionally been used for its anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties.

ROSALINA (Melaleuca ericifolia) – is very nurturing and great for soothing and healing skin conditions, Rosalina is a member of the Melaleuca family and is also native to Australia. It has a Lavender-Tea Tree aromatic quality that smells divine!

TEA TREE (Melaleuca alternifolia) – has a fresh, medicinal aroma; herbaceous, woody and earthy. Traditionally associated with medicinal use, is a powerful antiseptic which inhibits a broad spectrum of bacteria and fungi and cleanses and protects skin abrasions.

LAVENDER (Lavendula angustifolia) – is an excellent essential oil to help heal minor cuts, bruises and skin irritations, boosts the synthesis of collagen and heals skin tissues.

SPEARMINT (Mentha Spicata) – is multi-purpose and it continues to be used to soothe ailments such as skin problems, headaches, nausea, vomiting, respiratory issues, and cold symptoms.

PEPPERMINT (Mentha Piperita) – this versatile essential oil is primarily known for its clearing and antiseptic properties. It’s most commonly used to help alleviate headaches, migraines, hay fever, sinus congestion and cold and flu symptoms, and it can also help soothe temper and assist with battling emotional fatigue

FRANKINSENSE (Boswellia Serrata) – Calming and comforting if you’re feeling anxious, stressed or nervous and of course is great for meditation, helping to clear and focus your mind.

BANKSIA (Banksia Spinulosa)

CHAMOMILE (Anthemis Nobilis) – is both soothing for the mind and body. Chamomile essential oil is very relaxing and its anti-bacterial properties make it an excellent essential oil for use in body skincare to soothe sensitive and itchy skin.

EUCALYPTUS (Eucalyptus Globulus Blue Gum) – It’s one of the best essential oils for sore throats, cough, seasonal allergies and headaches. Eucalyptus oil benefits are due to its ability to stimulate immunity, provide antioxidant protection and improve respiratory circulation.

PINE (Pinus sylvestris) – is reputed to support immune function, clear the respiratory tract, address symptoms of colds, coughs, sinusitis, asthma, and the flu, and facilitate the healing of infections.

LEMON (Citrus Limonum) – Lemon Oil possibly has the most powerful anti-microbial activity of all the essential oils, is known to be invigorating, cleansing, and purifying.

LEMONGRASS (Cymbopogon schoenanthus) People have used lemongrass in traditional medicine for pain relief, stomach problems, and fevers. Its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties may also give it other benefits.

INDIGENOUS NATIVES & NATURAL PLANT POWDERS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS

BUNYA NUT (Araucaria bidwillii) – The cultural connection of the Bunya pine to Aboriginal Australians is very powerful. The Bunya Mountains in Southeast Qld used to host massive gatherings of Aboriginal groups. People came to visit Bunya pines and feasted on the nuts in their abundant cones. Tribal groups would travel for hundreds of kilometres to come for gatherings, do tribal marriages, dispute differences and trade. A lot of the groups would camp in the foothills and then travel up the mountain for ceremonies and corroborees.

LEMON MYRTLE (Backhousia citriodora) – Indigenous Australians have long used lemon myrtle, both in cuisine and as a healing plant. The oil has the highest citral purity; typically higher than lemongrass. A study in 2003 which investigated the effectiveness of different preparations of lemon myrtle against bacteria and fungi concluded that the plant had potential as an antiseptic or as a surface disinfectant, or as an anti-microbial food additive. The oil is a popular ingredient in health care and cleaning products, especially soaps, lotions, skin-whitening preparations and shampoos.

RIBERRY (Syzygium luehmannii) – is a medium-sized coastal rainforest tree native to Australia. Common names include riberry, small leaved lilly pilly, cherry satinash, cherry alder, or clove lilli pilli. It has been popular as a gourmet bushfood since the early 1980s and is commercially cultivated on a small-scale basis.

QUANDONG (Santalum acuminatum) – the Desert Quandong, is a hemiparasitic plant in the sandalwood family, Santalaceae, (Native to Australia) which is widely dispersed throughout the central deserts and southern areas of Australia. The species, especially its edible fruit, is also commonly referred to as Quandong or Native Peach. The fruit, containing vitamin C, and the kernel of the nut, containing complex oils, were used by the peoples in whose countries the species occurred. Antibacterial qualities are present in the wood of this, and all the Santalum species, especially in the roots. A known application of the extract was to heal ailments of the skin.

GUMBY GUMBY (Pittosporum angustifolium) – is a shrub or small tree growing throughout inland Australia. Common names include weeping pittosporum, butterbush, cattle bush, native apricot, apricot tree, gumbi gumbi (or gumby gumby), cumby cumby, meemeei, poison berry bush, and berrigan. Pittosporum angustifolium is a widespread plant found across most of inland Australia in mallee communities, alluvial flats, ridges, as well as dry woodland and on loamy, clay or sandy soils, however it is never common. Extracts of the plant may be used in the treatment of eczema, pruritus, internal pains, skin irritations, sprained limbs, and colds.

HEMP POWDER – Hemp is a high-quality vegan protein, containing all nine essential amino acids, plus healthy fats and minerals.
